Nord Stream 2 highly satisfied with innovative pipes from Chelyabinsk

ChelPipe (Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant, PJSC) completed the delivery of  600,000 tons of pipes for the construction of the offshore section of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline to an interim storage site in Kotka (Finland) in recent days.

ChelPipe Group won the tender in March 2016. The innovative pipes with a life cycle of 50 years meet the strict quality and environmental safety standards requested by Nord Stream 2 AG. 

“We are highly satisfied with the work of ChelPipe. The company fulfilled all its contractual obligations by delivering on time and in accordance with the highest quality standards,” said the Chief Project Officer of Nord Stream 2 AG, Henning Kothe.

According to the general director of the ChelPipe Group, Boris Kovalenkov, this accomplishment  confirms the status of the Group as one of the world leading pipe manufacturer.
