In March 2018, the average rent price for one-room apartment in Yekaterinburg has been RUB 16.5k ($290) a month – an increase of 4% compared with March 2017.
The share of apartments in the higher price segment over RUB 20k ($350) increased from 28% to 48%. On the contrary, the share of apartments in the lower price segment below RUB 15k ($260) decreased from 14% to 7% .
The analysts of n1.ru say there are two main reasons: the increasing share of new buildings with a higher living standard on the market, and simple price raises as the owners are no longer satisfied with the returns from their assets.
