Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia visited Tyumen Region. Deputy Governor Vadim Shumkov welcomed the delegation and presented the Region’s investment opportunities.
Vice-President of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, who is also Senior Vice President of Schneider Electric in Russia and the CIS Johan Vanderplaates said: “We are well aware that Russia is not only Moscow, and international companies have huge opportunities in Russian regions. Tyumen is one of the most dynamic and promising regional economies”.
Johan Vanderplaetsee is sure that three aspects are important for successful business: infrastructure, support of the local government and qualified personnel. He stressed that Tyumen region is strong not only in the oil and gas sector, but also in a number of other areas.
Vadim Shumkov pointed out that the Region offers significant potentials for direct foreign investments in areas such as: logistics centers, shipbuilding, production of chocolate and cheeses, flower greenhouses.
The visit was closed with the conclusion of an cooperation agreement between the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tyumen Region.
