Red Bull Ragnarok is the most prestigious kiteboarder competition in the world. This year the challenge was cut by 25 kilometers because, last year, only eight athletes finished the 130-kilometer course.

The event gathered more than 350 snow kiteboarders from 30 different countries the city of Haugastol (Norway), including a family team from Yekaterinburg – Valeria, Artem and Denis Garaschenko.

Valeria showed excellent performance and took home the victory in the snowboard category.

Her older brother Artem was close to the winner’s podium. The head of the family Denis had the role of playing coach and landed also a place on the top of the list. “The race lasted five hours without interruption. It was necessary to overcome many peaks and gorges”, Denis said.
